X301 Case Flex?

I finally got my X301 and I've been very happy with it. Keyboard, touchpad, footprint and weight are great. The screen isn't great but is still perfectly usable for me.

I've noticed yesterday that is some flex in my unit:

1) Around the DVD-RAM drive. Applying slight pressure to the bottom of the unit exhibits slight flex.
2) The lid doesn't sit 100% flush on the unit when closed. Closing the lid, the latch locks, but you can apply pressure to the top.

In the reviews I've read, they say their X301 case exhibits no flex. Am I being over-critical? Or am I expecting too much based on the reviews?

Would love to hear if any X301 owners have similar experiences...

was ironic ... its still kinda nice machine, but instead of word computing there was meant to be other word :)

but i expected much more for the price tags and reviews, im starting to find more and more glitches...

strange cpu high pitched whine, some keys on my keyboard are a bit shaky and dont respond like rest of keyboard, dvd rnr is really confusing, removing modular recovery was stupid, flaking with TSVU was also stupid imho, constant fan is also strange ...

all these sorts of small things, but they are very very irritating, because i think that what really makes a good product is great attention to detail which I dont see in x301

That's a shame Elvair!

I was hoping that the x301 would be the beginning of Lenovo turning the quality build/parts up on their thinkpad line....back on track with IBM quality.

but reading your last post is making me wonder if they will improve on the x302 ?? :?
