Hi all,

I can order a new X300 for a really good price via the university. I've been dreaming of this X300 for quite some time now. I have a T400, and I'm pleased, but I cannot let this deal down .

But, before I order, I'm wondering... The X300 is not produced anymore for quite some time now right? So these laptops, how great is the change that they are refurbished ones instead of really new?

Ask for a machine/type model (product number) at the University store and check it out for yourself.

Ah, I didn't know that refurbished laptops get different model numbers. Thanks.

Yeah they put an 'R" in front of the model #, and possibly some other variations.
