x301 sound problem

#1 Post by gangelov » Sun Aug 02, 2009 10:35 am

Hi! I am new to the forum but I searched for this problem and found nothing.

On my x301 I have a strange problem - after restore from sleep there is no more sound from the laptop. A restart of the OS is fixing the problem till next sleep/wake operation.
The machine is x301, type 2774-lbg, with XP SP3 installed.
I heard from a friend for a similar problem on t400.

Never really had a problem like that with my x301. Are you running latest drivers and BIOS?

Yes! When I found the problem I updated everything. Today I am running latest drivers, but this is not solving the problem!

I never upgraded to XP SP3 because the receovery disk came with SP2. I upgraded to SP3 when I first got it and found that it was crashing a lot so I rebuilt it. I don't know if that causes issues.

I had an issue with my wireless card and had to delete the old driver and reboot with the new driver for a clean install. It has worked for me so far on the wireless.
