Experience with connecting X200 Ultrabase to DVI monitor

Has anyone ever tried to connect the DisplayPort output of the X200 Ultrabase dock to a DVI monitor using one of the DisplayPort to DVI adapters? I have two such adapters:

1. A single link adapter made by Foxconn. I ordered this from Lenovo.
2. A dual link adapter made by Accell.

My X200s+Ultrabase has only been connected to my Dell 3007WFP-HC and with either cables, I get occasional flickers. I am trying to determine the cause of the flickers and knowing whether others have been able reproduce the issue should help me narrow it down.
