TP FanControl under Win 7

#1 Post by jamess » Wed Aug 19, 2009 4:02 am

I've reinstalled my X300 with Win7 RC and it works like a charm. Waaaay faster than mod.Vista B32 and better thank XP pro.

What bothers me is that TP fan control does not work and since fan is always on and loud, i'd like to somehow get TPfancontrol working as it did under Vista and XP.

Any clues as how to do it?

All comments appreciated.

Are you installing the program the same way as you did in Vista? I am succesfully running TPFancontrol on three different T60s and one R52, all under Windows 7 RTM.

The program also ran fine with Windows 7 beta and RC1.

I did exactly the same as on Vista - copied .exe file from Release folder and made a shortcut to startup folder.

Now it says when trying to run .exe that there is a problem with some .dll file ... will check the link provided and see installation procedure... maybe i've done something wrong there..

EDIT: Followed the link, reinstalled with setup.exe, works great! THANKS !!

thanks
