X300 and an new adapter 90W?

#1 Post by Toine » Thu Sep 24, 2009 8:28 am

I was wondering if I can use the FRU 42T5000 90W 4.5Amp adapter for my new X300 6478 model. On the back it states the 3.25amp 20V.

The lenovo spart store states the 65W model. So is it possible? I rather wouldn't blow up my new Thinkpad

It will work with no problems. Assuming the voltage is the same (as in this case), more power than you need is always OK, less might be a problem.
Current: X220 4291-4BG, T410 2537-R46, T60 1952-F76, T60 2007-QPG, T42 2373-F7G
Collectibles: T430s (IPS FHD + Classic Keyboard), X32 (IPS Screen)
Retired: X61 7673-V2V, A31p w/ Ultrabay Numpad
Past: Z61t 9440-A23, T60 2623-D3U, X32 2884-M5U
