So I received an X200 from the Lenovo Outlet and was not very impressed with the quality. Take a look:

I am going to go out on a limb and say that the screen was installed improperly. The cable is in the wrong place, the plastic piece isn't installed all the way and the back of the chassis is bent making it hard to eject or insert the battery. Looks like a call to Lenovo is in order. Has anyone else had this problem?

I would send it right back to them.

I could do that. I'm curious if they will wave the restocking fee given the poor construction of the unit. The alternative here is of course to play the repair game.

This is obviously a repaired/refurb unit - I had a brand new X40 back in the day come back to me in similar condition when I sent it in for a DOA screen. I called and raised hell and they sent me a brand new one, but YMMV.

it looks like the roll cage (the whole metal frame inside) is bent, i have seen a similar situation on a T400. Return it, as there might be damage to the board which will cause issues only later in the laptop's life.
