Swap SSD in x301 for my Corsair SSD Make Sense?

#1 Post by ew6050 » Sat Oct 17, 2009 9:23 pm

I am pulling a Corsair 256GB SSD out of my MacBook Pro tomorrow as I need more capacity on that machine. Is the Corsair drive faster than the SSD drive that comes with the x301? The extra capacity will be nice of course but also curious about speed benefits???

Thanks!

It won't fit, the Corsair drive is 2.5", while the drive in your X301 is 1.8". There, I save you the trouble of opening up the Macbook Pro and wasting time :)

Thank You. I also have an Intel X-18. Would that be worth swapping performance-wise?

Thanks again!

Yes, it will work fine. And the performance increase is definite worth it (since X301 supports full SATA-II speed)
