I got more mileage on this laptop than any other I've owned (X31, X41, X41 Tablet, X61, X61 Tablet). From the low weight, higher resolution, more connectivity, Express Card port, PCI, space for the internal SIM, WWAN (Sprint will have it in almost every major city in 2010), excellent touch screen, less screen smudge than the X6, bright screen and SLEEK looking form factor (a LOT better than the regular X200), I'm in total love with this baby. I hope Lenovo's next Tablet includes USB 3.0 and eSATA. I love this unit so much, I want to purchase another and use both of them in my mobile audio studio setup!

Congratulations on the awesome machine. I too, am thinking about getting an x200T for doing audio production/recording. How has the machine been working out in terms the audio work you're doing with it?

Are you satisfied with the quality of the onboard headphone output?

Your poll subject and the thread subject are different. It's an excellent tablet, but I'm not sure that it's the best Lenovo notebook ever.

Jane, I've owned many Lenovo laptops, the X200T is a step in the right direction. A nice balance of technological goodies, plus sleek looks, true portability (in comparison to earlier tablet models) and expandability - This at least in my opinion. The X61 was a nice Audio Production workhorse, and the X200T is even better. I use it to run Pro-Tools however, so I'm not using the standard headphone output jack, but the one that comes on my MBox Micro (I have a legit recording studio, but carrying this helps me work outside of the studio).

I use an Express Card 16GB SSD from MTron as a second drive as to not carry around that dang ultrabase. Works like a charm!

I think what Jane meant is that while it is a very nice tablet, and you can argue whether it's the best tablet ever, it will be hard to claim it is the best Lenovo laptop ever, since tablets still are a very small niche, and don't address the needs of the average PC user.

As far as I know, Lenovo's WWAN and Sprint is still a No No. With the internal WWAN slot, you can go ATT or VZW only.

Let me correct this. Sprint WiMax relies on WiMax, which the Lenovo X200T supports. In New York, I'm just waiting for Spring WiMax to become available. This is independent of whether the internal WWAN slot supports it.

Just FYI, to be WiMax compatible, you need to have the Intel 5350 or the WIMAX WLAN module. There is no word on whether Sprint will support this on top of their 4G modems. If anyone has the WIMAX module in a Sprint/Clearwire WiMax deployed area, please chip in your experience. Don't know about NY but with us in SoCal, by the time Sprint has WIMAX ready for wide deployment, x200 Tablet might become an old model.

Ditto on what AAU007. For me, Sprint has the best internet plan for laptops. ATT charges you more after 4GB. I already have a Blackberry with Sprint, so don't want to go Verizon. I'm currently using a Sprint Express Card. Id love to free up that port!

Yes, I'm using Sprint WWAN on the X200- using a built in internal 3G card and NO external dongle. It took a little work but I use it everyday, all day, for my work and it's worked for 3 months. To see what I had to do see my post from Feb 21 at this thread:

Braddah, I think the T series T60, T61, T410 is the best Lenovo/IBM produced.

What about the battery runtime

I do want to purchase a T400s w/Multitouch. The removable DVD Burner would allow me to house a SECOND SSD drive in addition to a THIRD via the Express Card slot (Expresscard SSD). If ONLY the SD card slot was attached to the PCI Bus! Or better yet, if the X200 had a CF slot, I could house three drives in one unit! The X201 is way too heavy large. The addition of one pound reminds me of the X61T I once owned - WAY TOO HEAVY! The X200 feels just right. Lighter than the X31 (which I still own two of) which feels also very light.

by the way, aside from my WWAN comment, I *do* believe the X200 is the best laptop ever (I have the laptop, not the tablet, but same thought applies)

Like many of you I've had a multitude of laptops. My main criteria are speed/perfromance, size, battery life, and overall user friendliness (and of course price). My previous favorite was the Sony Vaio SZ 640. I bought my X200 new in box for about $800.

However on all dimensions the X200 is the winner!
It's hard to find a laptop this small with a dual core processor, and the 8 hour battery life (which I get routinely). Also I like the features (e.g. the lamp above the screen, the thinkvatage utilities, the scroll key in between the mouse buttons).

I've been an IT professional for over 20 years and by far the x200 wins the award for best laptop.

I travel a lot, so the small size is a must for me (hate lugging big laptops on planes). However, if people are more into the 17" screen size then obviously they'd have a different opinion.

Also- at first I was apprehsneive about the X200 not having a cd/dvd drive because I like to watch movies. But I simply moved all my DVD's to ISO files and loaded them on the hard drive, so not having a cd/dvd drive is really not an issue for me.
