Hi all,
I just got WWAN module (Ericsson F3507g) for my new X301 (2776LFG) with WXP SP3 ENG, installed into my ntb following instructions on Lenovos web, but after powering ntb on nothing happened. No new devices in device manager, simply nothing. I believe the card is placed correctly, there is probably no chance to misplace it, it fits OK in that slot. I tried to install WWAN drivers anyway, but I still dont see anything new in system, it looks like that card is not connected or activated

Thanks for any ideas/help...

disabled in bios? I think there is a option to enable wwan in bios, but I'm not 100% sure, since I don't have my x301 with me atm.

I think there is no way to generally enable/disable WWAN from BIOS. I found only one option related to WWAN in BIOS and it is in section Security/Ports and it is enabled.

Did you buy a non-Lenovo WWAN card? It sounds like it is being disabled by BIOS using pin20. Please tape pin 20 and you should be able to now see the card in OS.

The other alternative is a DOA card.

if you grabbed the latest driver, it might relate to the problem many are having with Win 7 updates grabbing latest wwan driver. See my notes in

http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=82365

(under the win 7 thread, wwan won't power up)

Maybe that latest driver is screwed up for not only win 7 but xp too.
