WWAN disappears after resume from standby

Hi!

I have a X200 tablet (7450) running Windows 7 enterprise x64. All driver and software are up to date. After resuming from standby the Ericsson WWAN hardware (and all related ports including the GPS on com6) disappears from the device manager. Searching for new hardware does not help, but after a reboot all devices are present again, until next resume from standby.

I have tried to search for information and solutions, but I have not find anything useful. Does anybody know how to solve the issue?

Regards,
PK

see thread http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=82365

(under win7, wwan won't power up) Also on forum.lenovo.com, others seem to have problems with latest wwan driver, getting older one seems to make it work again.

I had the same problem with my T500 with Win7 x64 and called Lenovo support (which turns out still to be IBM support). Support told me to uninstall the power management drivers, power manager and Access Connections and replace them with the Windows 7 beta versions of the power management drivers and power manager, and the Vista version of Access Connections. I haven't had the problem since. The tech knew immediately what to tell me to do, so I infer that others have had the problem and that new Win7 versions will be posted eventually.

Did you by any chance get the drivers by installing System Update immediately after you installed Win7 and running System Update? That's what I did and I wonder if the problem might have been there instead of in the drivers themselves.
