What exact type of hard drive will the x301 accept? I want to replace the HD with a normal 500GB 2.5" sata drive such as http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/produc ... _5400.6_g/

Can I do this? I'm concerned because I have an old X40 right now with some stupid special 1.8" style drive that I can't do anything with.

x301 takes 1.8" drives.

Which means the best you can do size wise is a 250GB 5400RPM hard drive.
