Flash PCIe cards Ericsson f3507g, Dell 5530, Lenovo 43Y6477

Lenovo, HP, Dell etc. take generic cards like the Ericsson F3507g and rebrand them for higher profit margins and negate the benefits of Standards like PCIe.
These companies restrict the use of these card via Whitelists in BIOS, Device Drivers and Utilities like Access Connection or Wireless Manager.
Proposed is a project to read and write the firmware of these cards and to rebrand compatible cards:. for example it should be possible to take a Dell 5530 card and reflash it to a Lenovo Ericsson f3507g card and vice versa...etc.
Dell provides a re-flash of its 5530; it should be possible to flash these cards:

What we need is a read/write program of PCIe card firmware and a collection of firmware provided by owners of these cards.
Anyone skilled and willing to contribute?
Edit: firmware for the MC8780 Sierra Card

You might want to take note that no one has been able to make this work for WiFi cards, so the chances of it getting it to work for WWAN cards is probably similar.
