#1 Post by mhschill » Sun Dec 27, 2009 12:06 am

Could someone help me understand how to connect my X301 to my Samsung 550 LCD? There is no displayport on the Samsung.

Thank you.

Well, I just did a google search for "display port to hdmi" and there is a LOT of hits.

Just buy the converter from a reputable place and get and hdmi cable if you don't already own one.

Good luck!

You can find DisplayPort to HDMI adapters for ~$10 if you are willing to buy from eBay.

Unfortunately, the X301, like all of Lenovo's laptops, does not pass audio through DisplayPort, so if you want to watch movies on your TV, you're gonna have to connect the audio to it through a separate cable, or connect to external speakers.
