Retrofit a T400s keyboard in an x200?

I absolutely love the new Thinkpad keyboard layout. I'm tired of accidentally hitting the F1 key when I meant to reach for ESC. Is it possible to purchase a T400s keyboard and fit it into my x200 or t61p laptop, or is it so different they're not interchangeable?

Is there any chance Lenovo might make their new keyboard layout available to their older laptops? I have a large collection of various Thinkpads, and I'd love to get the new layout on all of them.

F1 and ESC position is really a pain. But you can just turn F1 into ESC through keytweak program (http://webpages.charter.net/krumsick/). In fact, I turned F1 to ESC so I don't have to read Help from MS every time I hit the wrong key, and turned CAPSLOCK to Ctrl.

But if T400s keyboard fits (I doubt that), I'd love to know.

I'm almost 100% certain that it won't work out of the box. I have no idea about dimensions or connectors, but that said I'd be willing to bet that a sufficiently motivated (and talented) hacker could do that sort of mod, provided there's actually enough horizontal/vertical space for the keys.

Probably not the sort of thing you're gonna see though. There's not really much reason to IMO.
