12inch wide screen
Just a quick question for X200/onwers. Do it´s screen cause fatique for it´s size? Too small or is ok?
I have doubts between T400 and X200, X200 and X200s seems famous for it´s battery life, but T400 users seems to get 10 hours aswell..
X200 is half lither and portable, but is the screen size a issue?

It really depends on what you're used to. I've used 12" laptops for almost 4 years now, so I have no problem with them.lagoausente wrote:Just a quick question for X200/onwers. Do it´s screen cause fatique for it´s size? Too small or is ok?

And yes, you can get 10 hours with the T400 as well if you use the integrated graphics. The discrete graphics should be a nice addition for those times when you want to play a game or two. Also, you get an optical drive in the T400.

Re: 12inch wide screen
It's just the right size. I used to have a 14.1 but now been using 12.1 for over 2 years as my primary computer and display (X61s, X60, X200). Decide if you really need the DVD drive and touchpad on the T400. I didn't, so I chose the X200.

Re: 12inch wide screen
I've got an X200s with the WXGA+ screen (144x900), and it's great!
I don't really have any problem with the resolution, since my apps and OS aren't resolution-dependent. Text is plenty large, and the extra resolution means that it appears quite crisp.
The contrast ratio leaves something to be desired (specifically, black), and the viewing angles suck. That's not a big deal though: the former is tolerable since I don't use the built-in panel for graphics work, and the latter's fine since I never like people looking over my shoulder in the first place -- it's kinda like a poor-man's privacy filter.
