Well.. I just got news myself.. it's unofficial.. the news that x200(s) successor will be x201(s) based on calpella intel i5 & i7. no big changes they will add a touchpad. the x210 series will be the next generation.
if someone wants touchpoint only so the x200 and x200s would be the final choice!

I have been curious about the same thing, and so I did some digging in some Chinese forums (the usual source of leaks). I have posted what I found in another thread here:

There will be no X210 until 2011, and it will be re-designed.
The newer X201 will still using the same structure as X200 plus the touchpad(I hate it...)
So if you want the trackpoint only X series, grab a X200 now before too late.

Thanks! so do you know what time x201 will start selling? Well, there is no differece for me to a touchpad.. I'm more likely interested in the new processor which is i7 or i5 and thats why im waiting for it.

The Chinese forums ripped the images and the discussion originated from from the following source (in English, much less!):

For me, the lack of a touch pad on my x200 is its biggest drawback. Other than that, it's a great machine. I can't wait for the x201!

Just FYI - http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthr ... 885&page=2 claims the successor to the X200 will be announced this month (February). Who knows how credible but nonetheless. . .

it seems that an x201 is almost here.

evidence:

https://forum.neptun.ethz.ch/read.php?3 ... 2#msg-2322

changes in the last digit mean different internals but same housing, difference in 2 digit would mean different housing as well.
