Well, support and warranty in this part of the world is definitely not what it is in Europe or the US. I called the US, Canadian and UK support lines, and they all told me that:
a) They can't support me.
b) If they could support me, it would definitely be a warranty item.
Here, not so. Jumbo Electronics is the official service provider for Lenovo here:

subject RE: Warranty Issue: Missing Rubber Foot: Lenovo X200
Dear Sir,
You can make the order for rubber foot with the cost of AED 50.
Missing parts are not covered under warranty.
Regards,
James
It's taken me a week of constant phone calls, hassle, arguments, emails and follow-ups to get this far. They kept trying to fob me off, they never called back, and have been completely unreasonable throughout (Viji from Jumbo).
Initially they told me that it would have to be evaluated by a technician to determine if there was a warranty claim (a missing rubber foot??), which involves 1.5 hrs of driving for me. After that they would actually order the part, which is not in stock, so I would have to drive back again once it arrives. After much strife, they've agreed to actually order the part for me without seeing the laptop first, so I would only have to drive there once, but I'll have to pay for it as a spare part (I had to email photos of the problem, photos of my serial and my receipt to get this).
So that's around $14, which is better than $28 + shipping (best price I can find online), but much more hassle, and I'd rather not give them my business. My guess is that they're claiming it as a warranty item from Lenovo, but are charging it to me as a spare part, otherwise they wouldn't be able to give to me for that price. I think I'll be ordering it online on principle.
All for a small rubber foot! Madness.
