Unusable finger touch with x200 and win7

Hallo,
Searching or Google for similar topics was my first step, unfortunately with no results, so I am sorry if I overlooked any helpful discussion.
My issue is related to my recently purchased x200 tablet with Multitouch (7450-EDU). The notebook is used but only one year old and optically you wouldn't be able to discern whether it is new or not. So even if my source lied I would exclude any hardware damage.
Although Vista Business was included and preinstalled I skipped testing it and made a clean Windows 7 (64bit) installation via PXE following with an installation of all drivers from the Lenovo webpage.
After that I have been able to use the pen but not the finger touch because the finger recognition works only if I press pretty hard on the screen. For this reason option like scrolling cannot be used with the finger. But even I press the cursor emerges several centimeters above the touched position which is why I assumed a faulty calibration. After playing with the touch setting, however, there was no real difference to the finger touch behavior.
I would be really happy if some could advise me what to do. Maybe a new installation, different drivers, some unset preferences, etc.?
Thanks a lot in advance.
