Do all x200t have the glossy screen?

#1 Post by edelrc » Mon Mar 01, 2010 5:45 am

I just observed that the Multitouch x200 tablets have the lovely IPS screen but with a glossy surface (unlike the rest of Thinkpads with it superb matte finish)

But i am looking into the non-multitouch x200t that is also frameless. Is this screen also glossy or matte?

I have my fingers crossed...
X220t IPS but but a bit unhappy with it
T60p 2007-93U 1600x1200 IPS (T42p is an overall better machine though. Lack of new IPS Thinkpads keeps me buying these older models!)
T42p 2373-KXU 1600x1200 IPS (The best ever!!)
A20p 2629-6UU 1400x1050 (My first Thinkpad!)

You must be mistaken. The X200t with multi-touch (meaning they can use finger in addition to pen-input) is matte. I've seen and touched one before. The only irritating thing is a slight image blurring due to the touchscreen layer on top of the IPS screen.

I've not seen the standard (pen-input only) screens so cannot vouch for them.
