Homecoming... Just got X200 Tablet... NEED MEMORY

OK, so I've been on sabatical for a while - was a diehard IBM ThinkPad fan and always had the small one since their first laptop with 240 (spent a fortune), through the sixes the T's... Still have 3 or 4 X31's in need of TLC, a T40, and some others... I went to Fujitsu with the introduction of their B series touch screens of small size and stayed through the last P1620 (still have a P1510 - best ever).
Have been needing to replace the disposable HPs and such and really missed the tablet - so I plunked down the $ for the Thinkpad name... 7449-9EU SL9400/2GB/160GB-5400rmp/ActiveDigitizer
First purchase - RAM. She has a single 2GB now - need another... SUGGESTIONS? Should I buy direct from Lenovo and avoid sckeptical ebayers - or is there a better grade elsewhere.
I plan (by weekend next) having another battery (not sure on which one - would love to know REAL WORLD expectations on 1/2 power - likely buy the cheapo stuff off ebay - disposable).
Would love to add a UDMA CF (suggestions) reader for the PCMCIA (I have several high end CF cards >16gb & camera supporting). For all the Fujitsu's I always had a bump case for the convertible tablets - but haven't see any for x200 (suggestions)?
That's likely too much for a single post - just excited to be back.

I wouldn't buy memory from Lenovo unless you like paying more. Just pick up a stick from NewEgg or the like. Newer Thinkpads are much less finicky about memory.

You might want to check the Lenovo Outlet for a battery. They've only got a 90 day warranty, but the prices are dirt cheap if they've got your battery. I bought one myself. It looked new to me and had zero cycles.

Thanks - got 9 cell and 2gb both scratch and dent - $94 delivered...

Any suggestions for a 'bump' case?

Also - noticed my keyboard light - when the Fn and PgUp is pressed - it ALWAYS shows the icon with an X next to it... Mean anything (there is no illumination).

Love the unit.

I suggest you get ram elsewhere. I'd look for RAM chips from big names, once they get rebranded it's all the same. Micron, Samsung, Hynix all make ram chips.

There is no Thinklight on the X200T. The keyboard says there is, but it is not enabled and there is no physical light.

Thanx for the 'light' update - thought my eyes were loosing it - as I figured they put it under the keypad or really hidding in the top of the shell... LOL.

BTW - do I have an X200T or an X200 (might be a dumb question - probably is)...
Lenovo says this... (auto detect)

Just a follow up - GOOD HEAVENS... SLOWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!

From the outlet - I received several emails - none of much significance except the one Thursday (6 days after ordering) saying my order will be processed and can take 7-12 days - then it will ship and they will charge the card...
Fortunately - Late Fri I received - your order has shipped...
Seven days to 'process' an order for a stick of ram and a battery.
Ideally UPS won't be so slow (although I have no idea where it shipped from - and of course the outlet is going to let me sit over the weekend with out letting me know the tracking number), I want my stuff!!!
Price was definately great, but the wait makes me reconsider for next time - as a few extra bucks and I'd already have had it...
