Question regarding X300

Hi everyone,
I have just bought a [NOS] X300 6478-18M , which I am due to receive early next week. I was wondering that with the 64 gig hard drive and the last generation processor whether Windows 7 would be 'beyond' the machine. I have included with the computer Win XP and Win Vista.

You'll be fine. Windows 7 is less of a resource hog than Vista, though it's still not quite as fast as XP.

Hello tomartom,

It depends on the version of Windows 7 that you have. As a good rule of thumb a minimum of 30GB is recommended for Windows 7 *(possibly more for Windows Ultimate).

If you want to run Windows 7 on your PC, here's what it requires:
1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
