Hi. If you get a new replacement keyboard from Lenovo (through warranty), do you need to return the old, defective one back to Lenovo or can you just throw it away? Thanks.

They didn't ask for the old one back when I got a new one for my X60s.

I got a replacement KB but it was for my T400 and was not asked for the original one either.
This was about a month and a half ago.

Yeah, I wasn't asked to return my original keyboard.
I started with a reduced Chicony, which flexed unacceptably, asked for a new one, was sent a solid ALPS, which was extremely nice. However, I was used to the NMB of my parents T60, so I put the NMB in the T400, and the ALPS in the T60.
Gotta love Lenovo for their willingness to overcome their flaws... eventually
