X200t second Power button doesn't work

Hey guys,

I just got my new X200 tablet with the enchanced multitouch display. Everything seems ok except for the fact that the second power button (the one used when in tablet mode) doesn't seem to work at all. I originally found this out when I tried to wake it from stand-by while it was in tablet mode. Pushing that power button did not wake it up...I had to open it and press the internal power button, or the Fn key. I can also hold this second power button in an attempt to power the computer off....but nothing. Even when the computer is turned off...this power button will not turn on the computer.

The ONLY exception to this rule that I found is:

-If I turn off the computer and the AC adapter is disconnected, I can turn the computer on using the 2nd power button

But, it still will not work to turn the computer back off...or anything else. And if the adapter is plugged in, the button doesn't work at all!

Is this some sort of weird driver/BIOS problem? What the heck? Does anyone elses X200t work when using this button?
It's sorta annoying how I cannot wake up my computer when it's in tablet mode....

Any Ideas???

Make sure that the Power button mechanical lock slide switch is not engaged. It is next to the power button.

Yes, the lock is not locked (slider switch towards the unlocked padlock)... :(

Have you tried the latest version of Power Manager from Lenovo?

I don't believe I have the latest. The latest ones were simply adding support for x201t...right? Plus, would the power manager drivers have any effect while the computer is off???

I'll try updating to the latest power manager and see if it has any effect.

I'm really sorry for bringing back the dead here, but I did eventually solve this problem. It turns out I had a faulty power board behind the screen. I had the board replaced under warranty and it fixed the goofy symptoms I was having! :)
