Hello,
can the x201 tablet be used with it's dock to connect to a 30" monitor and run at 2560x1600?

I don't see why not. You'll need a 30" display with DisplayPort, though a DVI Dual Link 30" panel should work with a proper displayport to dvi dual link adapter. I only own a mini-displayport to dvi dual link adapter so I can't test with my cinema display sadly.

Once you work at this resolution you will not enjoy lesser resolutions

I have the X201T with the dock and have it connected to my 24 inch monitor: 1920 * 1200. I am using the Lenovo display port to DVI adaptor.

basically. I did downgrade from using the 30" all the time to using a 27" iMac which is _only_ 2560x1440. The 30" screen is just used as a NOC display now
super high res computer displays are so nice to have.
