Looking for suggestions for an SSD for my X201

#1 Post by M276527 » Sun Apr 04, 2010 4:18 pm

I have an X201 with a 160Gb HDD, I am living pretty comfortably within 60GB, so I'm looking for suggestions on a cost effective SSD 60Gb or maybe even a touch smaller.

Also, do I have to worry about any bios level issues from the system, or can I replace the HDD with an SSD without any worries.

Thanks!

X25-M G2 is always a solid reliable option. May not be the fastest drive out there but it will still be a huge bump up in performance.

For the most part there will be no bios errors but a clean install is recommended.

If you don't mind rebates, the 60GB OCZ SSDs with the indillix controllers like the Vertex and the Agility drop in the $130 range fairly often these days.

Corsair's SSDs are also a good option.

X25-M. Awesome reliability, awesomely low power consumption, great performance, great price. It's by far the best option for you.
