Hi everyone
A new Bios is available on the Lenovo website, v3.10-1.05
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-70466
Has someone already updated?
I would like to know what the changes for SSD are:
* (New) Enhance displaying estimated time for SSD "security erase unit" command excution.
* (New) Removed support for erase unit command to a SSD in a docking station bay.
Morover, this seems important, but too little detailed:
* (Fix) Fixed an issue System failure may happen.
I have Win 7 32b with a Samsung SSD 128 GB and I'm asking myself if it is worth to update.
Thanks
Edmond

The security erase unit is the build in instruction set that allows you do completely erase the data on a disk.Edmond Dantes wrote:Hi everyone

The second thing is they just don't allow you to do it when you dock the hard drive.

Thank you visionviper!
Given the fact that the "medium user" is able to update the Bios through System Update, I hope that Lenovo starts explaining more in detail what changes and improvements are.
To me is incomprehensible a description such as "Fixed an issue System failure may happen".
Regards
Edmond
