So I cracked the screen on my X200s, and I have the WXGA+ screen and the cost for replacement is an arm and leg. Is it possible to replace it with the WXGA screen? I know I sacrifice some display quality, but it's worth it to me at this point. It looks like I'd need an inverter and the panel, just not sure if it's even possible given how the current lcd cable is installed.

Possible, but expensive and time consuming.

Here are the X200(s) WXGA and WXGA+ LCD service part diagrams...

The entire lid assembly for the WXGA+ LCD panel is not the same as the one for the WXGA panel.

To convert from WXGA+ LED to WXGA LED, you would need a new lid assembly and cable (the WXGA+ LED cable is incompatible)
To convert from WXGA+ to WXGA CCFL, you would need a new lid assembly, cable, and inverter.
