Converting an X200s WXGA LED to WXGA CCFL

I have read many posts about converting the X200/X200s to the Boe Hydis AFFS CCFL displays. However, I haven't seen any information about converting an X200s WXGA LED to WXGA CCFL. I have looked at the service part listings and it appears that all that would be required is to spend an extra $75 for the CCFL inverter card and cable assembly.

1) 42W8009 or 42W8010 inverter card

2) 44C9909 CCFL cable assembly

3) Boe Hydis HV121WX4-100/110/120 panel

The only reason that I'm considering going this route is because it's not easy to find an X200s with a CCFL display (with the options and OS that I want). It's much easier to find the LED version and convert it back to CCFL. By the way, I'm only talking about converting the WXGA (1280x800) LED model. Converting the WXGA+ (1440x900) LED model would require even more parts (looks like the entire lid assembly is different).

Anybody see a reason why this wouldn't work?

Why do you want CCFL over LED?

It's not a question of wanting CCFL. Only the X200 CCFL model can be easily converted to the Boe Hydis AFFS CCFL display (which has superior color and viewing angles) because the cable assembly and connector are compatible. Boe Hydis also makes AFFS LED displays, but the connectors on these displays are not compatible with the cable assembly inside the X200 LED model.
