^^^ Wow. Even with the microfiber cloth, keyboard pressure marks were made? There must have been a LOT of pressure to cause that (especially with a cloth there).
Anyway, the only thing I can say is that it wouldn't hurt to try. I would certainly hate it if my screens had any marks, too.

The pressure marks are in several places. Those places line up with keys on the keyboard, but like i said, there is a microfiber clothe.
Do you guys suggest I press lenovo for both a display and a lid replacement? It's so hard to articulate the problem to someone who cares very little. I have on-site warranty and I'd be surprised if theyd ship both a lid and a display for on-site replacement, but I guess I'm going to try. Certainly worth it.
Any other ideas? All ideas welcome. Thanks.
Silly question, but have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the keyboard (and making sure the screws are tight)?

BTW its entirely possible for the keyboard to leave marks on the LCD. But I would think there would have to be at least some pressure for those marks to be difficult to remove. Stacking books with the TP at the bottom?

Found this link on how particular thinkpads pass military tests for durability...

According to them the X300's seem the most protected. Though maybe the newest X410's have some new features since then? More CF? J
