su2300 cpu how slow it is?

#1 Post by adam1314 » Fri May 14, 2010 8:08 am

Has anyone use the x200 series laptop that comes with su2300 celeron cpu?

Is that very slow?

I saw some video on Youtube and some people complain that su2300 can't play 1080p HD smoothly but can play 720p HD smoothly. However, I am not planning to watch HD movie on a 12 inch laptop. I am wondering apart from playing HD movie, is su2300 cpu good enough to do some general work like photoshop, microsoft office, solid edge, igor pro and so on.

Many thanks for your comments.

I suppose you can try to get it to play 1080p by using a GPU accelerated software such as Media Player Classic or a VLC nightly.

Umm...

http://software.intel.com/en-us/article ... -chipsets/

You can do H.264 decoding on it at least.
