x201 not reading usb token at pre boot

I have a brand new x201 and for some reason it will not read my usb security token. It used to work with my x200 but when I upgraded to the x201 it no longer works. It has a led on it and it usually lights up green right after POST. But with the x201 the token does not light up at all. I have upgraded the bios to the most recent version but the problem still persist. I'm using a 3rd party hard drive encryption and this software called Securedoc and it installs a pre boot logon window that I have to log into first before Windows can load. All I usually need to do is have the token plugged in and the laptop reads my key off the token and I just have to type in a password. This same version of software and the pre boot logon window have worked on my x200 fine and also on my even older x61. But when I upgraded to the x201 the laptop just wont read the token at the pre boot logon window. So right now I am stuck with a laptop that I can no longer get into. It has to be encrypted for work by the way so there is no getting around it. If anybody can help me that would be great. Also I can provide more info if needed. My next step is to try tech support to see if they know anything.

Go into the BIOS and move the boot order for the USB to the top.
