Will a faster CPU, like 640M, ever be available on x201t

I need x201t-sized unit to run few virtual machines on as well as double as my main machine (larger monitor at home and office). I am hoping i7 "M" type CPUs to be available on the x201t, but all I see are "LM"s. In which case, if I understand correctly, for my use, all i5-based current (not to mention the i7-based ones) and future x201 non-tablets will kick the behind of the i7-based x201t tablets. Such an amazing letdown! I REALLY want a tablet! But it is a NASTY sacrifice if I exchange an extra grand for a heavier unit with mediocre performance just to have a multi-touch. I know It seems like I want a lot, and I should be looking at T or W series, but I only have money for one good machine that I can comfortably use in the economy seat (let me tell you, for me, my recently dead dv2000 14.1" was a TIGHT fit in that situation).
Right? Set me straight my fiends!
THANKS!
=)
More info:
Prices look like this: $1500 for a decked out x201 and $2500 for a decked out x201t
I plan to upgrade my own memory (8gb) and hard drive (SSD), unless there are some caveats that I should be aware of (I am getting the baseline options for those).
Until now I have been using a DV2000 core 2 duo 5400 CPU which I think has an OK performance for my uses. Can anyone comment on performance differences of the fastest CPUs currently available for x201t and x201 compared to the c2d 5400?
I want a tablet because I just want it. It is pretty nifty tech and I like clicking links with my fingers over using any other pointing device. I also do not want to feel like my laptop is lacking compared to others in a year and a half's time when everyone will be fingering their screens. I'd also like to doodle on the notepad, and always have TONS of paper I waste as scrap - so maybe it will help me with organization of them as well.
