X301's mouse constantly doesn't work when waking from sleep!

Hey everyone,

Hoping to get some help here this is driving me nuts. I have an X301 that's about a year old now, it came with Vista but I have Windows 7 32 bit on it. I'm strictly a trackpoint user as I've never had a touchpad before so I have the touchpad disabled because I always hit it, and I also find if it's enabled that the trackpoint isn't as smooth, it's sort of jerky.

I always just FN+F4 to put my system to sleep when I'm done and rarely reboot it. Very often, I'll wake it up, and sometimes the mouse just isn't on the screen. I'll wait a minute or two and nothing, or it will be on the screen but not moving no matter what I do. If I connect a USB mouse a lot of times it will work. If I put it to sleep and wake it up again sometimes that fixes it. Other times, the mouse will move, but no matter how many times I click, it will not click at all or register it. For example, on the login screen when you hover over your username and click it to log in, usually it highlights it when the mouse passes over it, but it won't even do that. It's like it's moving the mouse but not actually registering the movements. Hitting buttons on the keyboard also does nothing, I can press tab over and over enter esc etc it does nothing. I usually have to pull the battery and restart losing any work I had open.

Has anyone seen this before? I've updated all the drivers and so on but it always does it and is so frustrating. I love this machine except for that...
