X301 vs. X201 tablet (su9400 vs. i7 620m)?

Hi All,

Just bought another X301 (this time the 1.4 Ghz one w/ the SU9400) as well as an X201 tablet (got it free for work). I can't find any good benchmark comparisons between the two processors. How much slower is the x301's SU9400 compared to the i7 620m in the X201 tablet?

x201 with i7 is like a MAC truck compared to toyota car ....if u pardon the Car pun !!

i7 is hardly utalized to its full potential in new X201....

Plus am never been much for 'benchmarks' as unless u COMPARE SAME HARDWARE/SOFTWARE combinations - its like comparinf APPLES with ORANGES ,,

X201 i7 is over priced but worth the money if u get it as 'work machine'....

Thanks...I know it's apples to oranges...but still wanted an idea of how much faster/slower the actual CPU is at doing calculations (not graphics intensive). Anyone got some values?How do they also compare to an i7 920?

WPrime score for the SU9400 in X301 is 58.653 sec, which can be found here:

X201 with i7 640LM (2.13GHz) has a WPrime score of 21.92 sec. So the i7 620LM (2.00GHz), which is nearly as fast as 640LM, should be more than twice faster than SU9400 in X301.
