hello i just got an x200 ultrabase, everything else works. all but the 3 usb ports on the back of the dock. i plugged in mt mouse and speakers and both are not getting any power. i also tried to plug in an external hardrive and it wouldn't recognize it. can anyone help me, i tried looking online but cant find much.

You need to run Lenovo's update software...providing you are running Windows. That may solve your problem.

i have ran the "think vantage system updater" and it downloaded a couple things but the usb ports still don't work. could it be a defective unit?

im on windows 7 ultimate if it matters

Look at system properties...see if they are flagged. If they are flagged...remove the USB ports and restart to see if they load correctly.

Yes...it could be defective. It should be under warranty.

i am trying to find the s/n so i can see if it is under warrenty and where do i find it? is the s/n and stuff on the sticker on the box it came in or is it on the dock it self. i tried them but its saying theres no information. i bought this off ebay, brand new un-opened. il try to update windows

BTW...I bought four of them on eBay. They all worked perfect.

is there a need for a driver for the ultra-base? i have been looking on line for a driver and i cant find any. when i turn my computer on the mouse gets power the light turns on but when windows loads the mouse stops getting power. so i dont know what is going on.

got them to work called tech support got transferred a couple times but got them to work. ended up uninstalling all the usb drivers on my laptop and then restarting my comp and let it reinstall of of them again.
