I saw a new version of the BIOS available for my X301.

"Version 1.08
* (Fix) Fixed an issue where this problem might not work when the installed system memory was 4 GB."

I have 4GB installed, so this version could be for me.But, as always, I fail to understand the description of the changes/fixes.

Why can't Lenovo be a bit more helpful in the descriptions?

Does anyone know which problem is addressed by this new version?

Where did you see this BIOS? The latest version at Lenovo.com is 3.11-1.05

That's not a new BIOS for the X301, it is a BIOS Settings Capture/Playback Utility for remote management of BIOS, mainly in an enterprise environment.

Ooops. You're right.
Anyway the descrption doesn't seem to be very clear. At least to me.

The authors live in China, and English is not their first language. I find examples of poorly worded descriptions at Lenovo.com all the time.
