Need memory for X301

#1 Post by Edmond Dantes » Sat Jul 24, 2010 2:26 pm

Hi
I hav a X301 with 128 SSD HD.
The amount of data is getting everyday bigger (these days people don't spare bytes when create documents etc.).
The fact is that I need to carry all data with me (in meetings, during site-tests, etc.), and I already reduced them to the minimum.
So, I thought to one of these: http://www.2dayblog.com/images/2008/nov ... rmum_1.jpg
8 Gb is not e huge step, but can mean 2 more projects on my laptop, waiting for better days.
Has someone already tried them on a X301?

Thanks

Edomond

Hi EOMtp
Thank you for your answer. As far as I can see, this is only an adapter.
I'm evaluating a solution like this:
- Card SDHC 32GB: http://www.expansys.ch/d.aspx?i=197717
- Adapter USB 2.0: http://www.amazon.com/elago-Mobile-micr ... rhf_shvl_6

My dubts are: will the R/W speed to SDHC trough USB 2.0 enough for working comfortably (open .docx, .xlsx, .pdf, some small .dwg)?
How long can a SDHC last (R/W cycles)?
I was looking for someone who already had a pratical experience with this solution.

Regards
