UUID- all zeros

I have a demo model unit on the way. What are the implications of having a null UUID? From the screenshot the seller gave me, all the uuid digits in the bios are 0. The internal mac address is 88 88 88 88 87 88. Will this be an issue? I think I'd have to get the Thinkpad Maintenance Diskette to modify these values if it will be.

The UUID is a unique identifier. It provides identifiers in the windows registry, identifiers used in databases, and identifiers used in RPC (COM, CORBA) (remote procedure calls). It is required in certain environments (like PXE) and to install certain software, including SOME OS's. If it is not present or all zero's I believe you'd get an error on boot. Please do not discuss how to obtain a hardware maintenance diskette here. It's not allowed.

Pretty much nothing will happen. A lot of PC's have their GUID/UUID set as 0's or F's, in that case it's simply ignored. In case of PXE, MAC is then used as identifier.
Things get annoying when several PCs have identical GUIDs (not 0s or Fs)...
