Well i got a fair deal on a X200 7459.

P8400
4GB
60GB OCZ Apex SSD (the original 80GB 5400RPM HDD is included)
No cam nor fingerprint reader but with UltraBase X200, HDD tray and DVD burner.
+ 9cell

All for $850 (ThinkPads er expensice in Denmark :/)

It is used and the rubber coat is comming of on the corners and the keyboard has signs of extensive use.
But now i can't help thinking i should have found a X200s or even X201/s for the same $850 but without the accessories (which i never use anyway).

How does the X200 compete vs. X200s and X201/s? I know X201 has i3/i5/i7 but I'm mainly looking for the most well build and solid ThinkPad among the X20X/s'es.

Any thoughts?

The X200 is much faster than the X200s.

To help dispel your feeling of regret, sell these accessories and keep the main unit.

Or sell the whole lot and get the machine you want.

Dont think you can get a lightly used X201 with $850 (given that it is already expensive for Thinkpads in your area)..

X200s is slower than X200 and it is not lighter by much (1.5kg is really light btw)

If you are really feeling remorse, just sell everything and buy a configuration that you like. You might contact other members on this forum to buy machines from them and see whether they can be had for your specification.

Cheers!

I used to have a X200, but I sold it because I needed longer battery life, and I wanted something lighter as I take it everywhere I go - so I replaced it with a high-spec X200s.

If you mainly use your laptop while plugged in and do not move around with it a lot, you might as well stick with the X200.
