USB Port Doesn't Work?

#1 Post by warreng24 » Tue Oct 05, 2010 11:20 pm

For some reason one of the two USB ports on my X201i doesn't work.

The one on the right side (next to the arrow keys) works perfectly.

The one of the left side (next to the Fn key) doesn't work. There doesn't appear to be any power to that port at all. At one time, it was working perfectly.

Ideas?

Is your X201i still under warranty?

Version 1.16
BIOS: 1.16 / ECP: 1.09/1.09
(Fix) Fixed an issue where a USB device inserted into the Always On USB enabled USB port was not recognized.

Sorry, I forgot to include this information. I currently have BIOS 1.22 and I think ECP 1.11.

On the old T42's there was a separate ECP update (IIRC). On the X201's I think they're all bundled together (the ECP and BIOS) update? There's no separate option to upgrade only the ECP? When you select BIOS upgrade, it upgrades both?

I guess I'll give Tech Support a call...

Yes, that is correct.
