X200s: please help with 3rd WLAN antenna

I added a webcam to my X200s which filled up the space of the 3rd WLAN antenna (Intel 5300). I would like to put the 3rd antenna to the left of the webcam, there is open space intended for a wireless USB antenna: before I added the webcam my X200s looked as in this picture, but without antenna C. As I want to put antenna D in the free space of antenna C, but the lead is too short, here my questions:

1.) I would like to use this cable, cut off the Tyco antenna and solder the original antenna from my X200s to it: do I have to expect problems with cable damping? What else do I have to take care of?

2.) The antennas are fixed with an adhesive metal tape: how important is this metal tape and it's size?

I would be very thankful for any advice!

Don't bother with the third one, unless you're sneding large amounts of data (several gigabytes) through your WLAN everyday.

And thank you! You've helped me with my problem: now I know wich antennas my X200 is missing. :)
