No WWAN support for X201s machhines?

I was taking a look at the ultimate portable ThinkPad, the X201s. It's under 2.5 lbs. with the 4 cell battery. However, I noticed that the spec's say no WWAN option.
Is this true?! How is it possible that the ultimate portable can't be configured with WWAN? (I did see WiMax as an option, but that's not everywhere, yet.)
Even the $300 IdeaPad S10-3 is Gobi 2000 WWAN upgradeable and ready!

That is good to hear, sounds promising. How did you do it, model lookup shows that your machine didn't come with the WWAN option?
Do all X201s machines have a free PCI Express slot? How about the antennas? Does the BIOS support the Gobi 2000?
Thanks for the info.

I did a "do it yourself" internal WWAN on my x200- not sure if it will work on the X201, but I've been a happy user of Sprint WWAN for a while now. Here is the entry with details

the light x200, combined with it's super battery life and WWAN is the ultimate in my opinion.
