i'd rather go with ultrabay especially for the hdd, else it'd seem like i've wasted quite a bit on the dock!

is this the one i'm after? http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-73170

I do not know the FRU, but look for the x200 ultrabase.

The X20x ultrabase uses SATA drives while the T60 uses PATA, which is why it does not work. The part numbers for the optical drives are listed on the service parts page, while the part number for the modular caddy is 43N3412.

the T60 definately uses SATA drives, which is why im a bit miffed that my T60 caddy wont work in my ultrabase :)

The optical drive connector on the T60 is PATA, while the connector on the dock is SATA, though you're right the T60 does use SATA drives for the hard drive bay.
