on my new x201s, i notice on the left hand side there is a yellow powered usb port which charges my iphone even when the laptop is off but is powered by mains power (nice!), is it possible in any way to get any of the ports on the ultrabase to replicate this functionality so i can plug in the dock and not have to worry about plugging and unplugging the cable?
thanks.

Re: question about the "powered" usb port on x201s
Hi Sh*
I 2 would love to have THAT feature on the NON laptop port!
Problem is ; USB >AWAYS ON port = controlled via BIOS OPTION of 'always on usb"
.....so unless some other SMART PERSON can figure out a way to add that option to the ULTRABAY ....would be super nice
but be keen to see if someone else has any ideas......
cheers

Re: question about the "powered" usb port on x201s
i really thought this would be possible, my thinking is that all most things on a dock/replicator are running in pass-through mode of sorts. take the the vga output, obviously there is no vga card on the dock, its just using whats already on the laptop..
come on you smart people, i'd like to be able to plug my iphone4 dock into the always powered slot so i can free up a power socket without having to unplug the usb cable everytime i wanted to undock
