Creating Recovery Media X301

#1 Post by u751920 » Tue Dec 21, 2010 10:09 am

Hi All,
I bought a X301 just trying to create a set of recovery discs and have a few questions:

Do I use the " Factory Recovery Disks " option in Lenovo ThinkVantage Tools?

I have tried using the " Factory Recovery Disks " but during the making of the second disc (Recovery Data Media) it stops and it says it could not complete the function as the drive was busy with another operation. It made the "Boot Medium" disk ok.

Any help would be apprciated

Kind Regards

AFAIK.. recover disk = ONE TIME Operation ; and it wont fully complete if you try is again!!!! (thats why you might get getting error)

Quick update

Not sure why the process to create recovery discs failed the first time. But it worked the second time.
For information:
Recovering windows 7 Pro 64 bit:
Required 3 disks - DVD's.

"AFAIK.. recover disk = ONE TIME Operation ; and it wont fully complete if you try is again!!!! (thats why you might get getting error) "

This is true only if you have a successful creation of the disks. If the attempt is unsuccessful it will let you keep trying until you create them, it then lets you know when you have.
