X200T or X201T?
X200T or X201T?
I think its finally time to upgrade from my older x60t with the SXGA+ screen.
I've decided that I would like to have a capacitive touch screen this time around so I've been looking around for the newer x200t models with the enhanced multitouch and the only thing I could find (for a low price) was this one here: (I live in Canada)
http://cgi.ebay.ca/Lenovo-ThinkPad-X200 ... 2189wt_905
The description says its brand new but when I googled the model it showed up in the lenovo outlet.
Otherwise I could get a x201t with the multitouch screen with the i5 on the lenovo site for $1440 after taxes and such (12% so $1280 before tax)
So what do you guys think? Otherwise if anyone has a link to a cheap x200t with the capacitive screen that would be much appreciated.

man they used to hare the X200 tablet for 650 at the lenovo outlet a couple weeks ago, but it's not there anymore. It might not have been multitouch though

I found this one with multitouch for 890 make sure it has the multi-touch screen though because some people put multitouch on their ads just cause of pen input

Unless you're pushing the system or need more than 3GB of memory, the newer system won't offer you much. Plus you'll taking a pretty big resolution reduction. Is the multi-touch worth that much, keeping in mind the touch surface adds a layer, making for a more grainy LCD?Danboard wrote:I think its finally time to upgrade from my older x60t with the SXGA+ screen.

I do not agree with the comment about the grainyness. I have the X201t now after having owned an X61t (both touch) and I do not see any grainyness (or fingerprints, like on the X61t) on the new screen.
I find it great. The touch is nice and intuitive, and it's quite a technological leap from a X60 to a X201 for instance.
The specs are everywhere to compare...

T60 Thinkpad 1951-FDG, X61 tablet 7767-B8G and now an X201 tablet 2985-FWG and loving it!

I've ordered a brand new x201t with the multi touch screen and the i5 processor. What kind of battery life do you get off of yours?iannis wrote:I do not agree with the comment about the grainyness. Well, we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. I get about three hours form the four-cell with the CPU in low power mode and the screen at 7/15. That's with wifi on doing normal stuff. I'd expect with the ULV i5 you'll do even better.iannis wrote:I do not agree with the comment about the grainyness.
