#1 Post by elvair » Fri Jan 14, 2011 1:49 pm

Whats the maximum possible amount of RAM could be installed on x300/301 ?

Is that 2 chips each by 4 gigs totalling 8 gigs or 16 is possible ?

The highest I have heard supported is 8GB.

FWIW, I have 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) in my X301, as you can see here. In order for the full amount to be recognized, I had to replace the 32-bit Win 7 Pro that came preinstalled with the 64-bit flavour. I'm not aware of compatible 8 GB sticks.
