x200 display fits on both x200s, x201s for AFFS mod?

As much as I understand, I can not do the affs mod directly with an x200s. I should have to swap displays from x200 and x200s.

But instead could I buy an x200s or an x201s, buy all the x200 display parts from Hardware Manual http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc ... 632_05.pdf page 262 for around one hundred dollar and that's it?

The question is: When I connect the x200 display with the x200s, x201s, is it possible without any problems?

You understand it wrong: you can install AFFS screen into X200s, I've done that. Some claim you can't do it with 1440x900 version of display, but with regular 1280x800 display the upgrade is entirely possible.

yes, it's possible with an X201/X201s but the same rules apply as the X200 series.   the WXGA panel will not fit in a WXGA+ LCD cover assembly.   you will need the hinges, brackets, LCD cover, LCD bezel, LVDS cable, inverter, and antennas.   none of the WXGA+ parts are reusable with the WXGA mod.

Thanks. Actually the x200 wxga display parts (without the panel) are rather cheap to buy from ibm itself for around 100 Euro.
