Switching CPUs between Thinkpads

Hi! I have two Thinkpads:

X201
- 2.53GHZ i5
- 1280x800

X201S
- 2.16GHZ i7
- 1440x900

Is it possible for me to switch the CPUs or maybe the graphics card/display between machines? I like to have the 2.53GHZ i5 processor on the 1440x900 display. My knowledge with Thinkpads is just enough to go by so I'm not too familiar how their hardware are setup and if it is even possible to switch stuff around. Thanks!

The X-series has the CPU soldered onto the motherboard for space reasons.

As Colonel O'Neill said, you cannot replace X20* CPU because it is soldered to the motherboard, and is impossible to replace without having an appropriate (huge and expensive) equipment.
However, AFAIK, you can just interchange upper lid assemblies between these laptops, so you will get in a single laptop 2.53GHz CPU (and all the bottom part) and 1440*900 screen (and all the upper part) at the same time.

Thank you "penartur"! I went ahead and did the switch and it worked perfectly! I am now running my X201 with my X201s screen and vice versa.
